survive.

Firstly, I'm sorry that this video isn't actually embedded, it just wasn't working for me! Now, if you're into quirky, homegrown little gems, mini adventures and well, just cool little films in general, then you'll like this. The main reason I'm sharing it is because it is beautifully shot by someone I know (his name is Ben) through my cousin.

My cousin James (who is also featured in this film) and a small group of friends purposefully go up to the far reaches of the top of the UK somewhere with practically nothing; to see if they can survive a week foraging for themselves. The have a blanket each, 200g of oats each, a knife, and one "specialist tool" which will (in theory!) aide them in catching or finding a source of food.
It's 15 minutes long, it's inspiringly beautiful and it is also pretty thought provoking. They even manage to get the Coast Gaurd out at one point! This did not go down well.

Britain's Last Wilderness by Benjamin Sadd/The Trail To Anywhere.

Enjoy. x

Nike Air Max 1 Black and Red Gold Leopard trainers

Nike Air Max 1 Black Gold Leopard trainers

*groooaaaan* Okay, this is a touchy subject. Ages ago these Nike Air Maxs' came out. Maybe like, nine months ago? It's really odd, I remember where I was when I first set my eyes on them. - I'm being sarcastic here, or maybe I'm just being creepy? Who knoooows...

I was in Worcester visiting my lovely Grammies and Grandad, we had popped into town, I'm pretty sure I was with my sister Nicole too. She bought a pair of boots from Office and I walked out stupidly not buying these. They caught my eye and then I forgot about them. Then I got the "damn I wish I'd bought those!" dread, in a really bad way...like a month after, when every where I looked I saw people wearing them, but they were sold out everywhere. I've actually been looking for a pair just as awesome since. I settled for some really nice Nike FreeRuns - the black and white pair with the gradient sole. I've had them maybe three weeks? And look what's happened now...these have come back out, HAVEN'T THEY. FFS. Did I buy them to match the rest of Shoreditch? Yeah, 'corse I did.

Interview Feature with Britt @ Gallery No. Eight

So, the other day and very nice email popped into my inbox. It was from a super lovely lady called Britt  Douglas, who has a blog called Gallery No. Eight. Her message made my day - I got such a warm and friendly vibe, which is always so welcoming :)
Britt asked to do a little Q&A feature on my prints and my arty background - which of course I jumped at. For two reasons. Number one, I am all for sharing the love of design and building relationships with fellow bloggers and people who are into the same thing. And two - my "day job" involves "cold emailing" people asking for Q&A features - in a similar vein. These features are for the blog of the company I do a little social media work for...and I know how frustrating it can be when you go to the effort of contacting someone - to no avail. The worst is when people don't reply in any way, shape of form. But hey, that's life!

Anyhow, Britt was lovely to talk to, she came up with some cool Qs for me to get stuck into and put together a really lovely Q&A feature post, for which I am very grateful - so, thanks so much for getting in touch Britt!

To check out the post - click here.

Britts blog is filled to the brim with all sorts of niceties! So be sure to go check her out :)

diptyque figuier candle

Diptyque Paris Figuier candle - Selfridges £40 (190g)

I gave in. I've been eyeing up these beauties for ages now. I first had a good old sniff when I was last in Liberty's before Christmas. My friend Alice diverted me when we saw the price. I then found some Selfridges vouchers hiding in a draw and I decided to treat myself! At first, I thought I wanted the Tubéreuse scented one, as that one's really nice too - but the one thing that put me off, was the slightly yellowy wax, I wanted a whiter one. Silly, I know.

So my second choice was the one I went for, Figuier. It's a sweet smell - being fig wood n' all. It's sweet, but fresh. There is something really attractive about the packaging, it has a really enchanting, naïvety about it. This brand has been around since 1963, and it looks like they're doing a nice job of sticking to their roots.

I don't intend to burn it any time soon. But hilariously, my boyfriend (after I told how much it was) said he'd light it the next I misbehave. Oh gewd.

James Blake at the ICA London

JAAAAAMEZ. So yeah this was great. With major thank yous to Alice, I was able to blag a ticket to go and see the awesomeness that is James Blake at the ICA in London. We've been sneaking this album on at work for ages now, so seeing him live was such a major treat. I hadn't been to the ICA for a gig before, and now it has to be one of my favourite venues - I preferred it to The Forum (formally HMV Forum) and The Troxy (they seriously need to make those carpets go away) for example. I also don't like getting my chewing gum confiscated. The ICA don't bag search, gotta love those pleasant arty types.
The vibe was really nice, pretty intimate, not over crowded and I like white walls - there were lots of those.
As you stepped into the gig area you were greeted of a few photos of Viviane Westwood's ginger lady garden. *speechless* So that was great.

Before getting there Alice and I stocked up with top notch canned cocktails - at £2.19 each, you can not go wrong. YES M&S.

James himself was epic. That shit works so well live n real loud. I was really impressed.

Black & Gold

A few of my favourite purchases over recent times, some bought during travels some before, some after. We shopped so much, such naughty girls! We were having to send big boxes home as we were going round - due to mass case filling issues. Our box we sent back from Los Angeles got home, but the Gold Coast and the Sydney box - no where to be seen as yet...haha FUNNY. It's probably having a nice trip over on a boatie or something.
Anyway! I digress. Here are some pretty things. I'm moving house this week, so a whole load of my favourite pretty things are packed away in some storage unit somewhere...poor Mulberry bag is dying right now. I can't wait to be all settled again...I love nesting! If the boy messes up my carefully composed awesome I shall kick his bottom out. ha.

a whole load of creepy.

My sister held the best Halloween party ever at the weekend. I don't think I've ever made so much effort for Halloween before, so this was so good! She and my cousin (guy with scary wax face thing) created this amazing outside inside decor, the whole of her living room was turned into the "outdoors" - leaves covering the entire floor, branches everywhere - basically lots of scary all over the show. And then there was the lengths everyone went to with their costumes...bloody beauties!
Me and my sister dressed all identical (top photo - I'm on the right, my sister Nicole's on the left), we often get people wondering if we're twins. Yep. She was two years late and stunted har har. I had her friends talking to me thinking it was her at the party. Good times.
My bestie, Lease - won best costume prize, she went as Hit Girl from Kick Ass. Amazing.

Such a good party.
